Problems with NAS as a service?

AlishaAlisha Member Posts: 217
Hi,

I've installed NAS as a service, but there is a process that must run every 10 minutes (using the automation Timer 1.0), and it is not called.

I had NAS before running on a window, to see errors, messages, etc, and then it worked perfectly, every 10 minutes the process was called.

Is it possible thant it does not work when nas is installed as a service?

Thanks!

Check if the NAS service is logged in at all (File, Database, Info, tab Sessions). My guess would be the following.

If you run the NAS in a Command Prompt window, it will run as the currently logged on user; Navision's Windows Authentication will use that user's credentials.

If you install the NAS as a server, by default it will be run as LocalSystem, which is probably not a Windows-authenticated user in your Navision database. Open the Services applet in your system's Control Panel, find the NAS service, and open the Properties dialog. On the Log On tab, specify under which account the NAS service should run.

    Good luck!
