Dear Experts,

Is there a provision in Service Management to enter Log???
For instance If a Service Engineer renders service to a customer.. is there a provision where he can come and feed in the system as to what service was rendered so that it can viwed in the history later?

If yes where is this entry made? If no how to deal with this issue?

create a service order. create select the service item. Select service worksheet and add the fault codes etc. if there is a charge, charge the customer if not, put in zero. Post the order.

Then from Service item click on serv. item menu _>posted service->invoice lines. and You'll see the invoice lines with description on what teh fault code was what area, (basically what ever the user fills on service item worksheet.)

    But hey...

    There is a problem...
When I click on Service item -->serv. item menu _>posted service->invoice lines.... I'm unable to see anything....

Does this require some sort of setting??? I'm unable to navigate the history of the LOG made

If you post the service order, in service setup there is an option on what to do with service worksheet. Navision creates a sales invoice or posted invoice. If you change the setup to posted invoice, Navision will post the invoice and you'll see the history. Right now there is an unposted invoice that you need to post.
