Hi Friends,
I was struck at this point and need your help.
We have 3 different series in Vendor master starting from V0001 A0001 and AG0001 now what i wanted to do is that when i open a Purchase order at that time when i click Buy from vendor Number it should show only series starting from V0001 and not the other two and when i open from another Kit Order(That is our customization) at that time it should show only A0001 series hiding the other two.
Is it posssible to do this run time?
At desing time if i set the dataitem table view property eg Vendor list then i can filter it for V0001 series but then all other series are filtered out
any help guys
regards
nishan

In that case you don't set the filter on the Vendor List form, but on the table that you link to the Vendor. So on the purchase order, you add the V* filter to the "Buy-from Vendor No." tablerelation property, and yuo set the same property to A* on your Kit order. Then the system will automatically open the regular Vendor list, but filtered as you specified in the table relationship.
You really should not change the Vendor List form alone as far as filters go. Those should be set from the source of the relationship.0 -
The problem is solved. Actually its not possible to use filter V* on purchase Line, It wont work, I tried it out, i then filtered it according to No. series0
