Pyshical Inventory Journal Error:

The following error is what l am getting....when l try ot update the Qty (Pyshcal Inventory) column. I cannot locate the "Phys. Inventory" and set it to yes.

Phys. Inventory must be Yes in Item Journal Template Name='PHYS. INVE', Journal Batch Name='DEFAULT', Line No.='10000'.

How can l update the Qty (Pyshcal Inventory) field.

Use the function "calculate inventory" to create the line(s).

Thanks, now l am not getting that error, but, if l am not being a problem, what setting caused that error? I want ot be able to explain this to a customer.

There is no setting causing this problem. The problem was caused because the Journal was used in a wrong way. :-)

There is a checkbox on the Journal Template that is used for that purpose. You have different kinds of templates for different usages. The physical inventory template has to have that checkbox marked.
