1. Is it possible to run Navision Database Server 3.60 and Navision Database Server 4.0 on the same Server Machine?

2. Is it possbile to run Navision Application Server 3.60 and Navision Application Server 4.0 on the same Server Machine. I know you can have more than one Application Server, but can they be different versions?

3. Can they all run at the same time?

I thought NAS depends on the installed client version, and consequently can't run in multiple versions.

I've had issues where the NAS was a different build number in the same version (3.70B client and 3.70A NAS) and it blew up.

Yes, but of course, you can have more NAS in more folders... you are not able to use one NAS for two Server versions...

My customer had NAS 3.70A installed separately, as well as the 3.70A client. Then they upgraded the client to 3.70B. As soon as they hit the 'finish' button, NAS started acting up and didn't run right until I uninstalled it and replaced it with NAS 3.70B. So in that case it was not possible to run a NAS in a different version than the client installation.

I don't care if you copy the files 10 times into 10 different folders. If the first one fails, the second one will fail just as well. So because of that incident I figured that NAS depends on the client installation.

Ok, maybe that the dlls are used from the client folder. But I think only if they are not found in NAS folder... but not have time for testing... :-/
