differences between C/SIDE Introduction and Solution exams

Hi,
I have already passed the C/SIDE solution exam (Development II) but didn't realise there was a Development I exam.
I am due to sit C/SIDE Introduction (Development I) on Fri.
Can someone who has passed both these exams give me an idea of the differences between the two?
Can I expect to see the same questions that came up for Development II?
Many thanks,
Ryan

As I understand it, there is only one "C/SIDE Solution Development" certification exam, but the book names are confusing:
C/SIDE Introduction Exam:
8324: Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision 4.0 Introduction
8359: Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision 4.0 Development I C/SIDE Introduction
C/SIDE Solution Development Exam:
8324: Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision 4.0 Introduction
8359: Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision 4.0 Development I C/SIDE Introduction
8401: Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision 4.0 Development II C/SIDE Solution DevelopmentNAVN00b0 -
I would say number 2 is more 'development', and number 1 is more 'programming', if you know what I mean...0

Can it be assumed that if you pass Dev II, you can easily pass Dev I?Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

It could, but we could argue about whether it would be a correct assumption0

Sorry Alex, I forgot you subscribe to these threads, but I couldn't help myself.
Supposedly, Dev I is a subset of Dev II, so if you know all there is to know about Dev II then yes that would be a reasonable assumption. The exam though for Dev II is more about the 'more advanced' part, the part that is not covered by the Dev I exam (assuming you've already passed the exam), so problems come when people only study the more advanced part of the Dev II training and think that Dev I then is easy.
I wouldn't say either one is particularly difficult to pass, you just have to know what you're talking about. Study the training material my Padowan Learners0 -

Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups (i don't remember who stated this, it is not my quote; but i like it).
DEV I is easier than DEV II. There are some questions that are the same, but most handle about programming itself. The hardest part in DEV I is (i found) Automation, OCX, C/FRONT, NODBC. Fortunately there are not that much points involved in this section. I'd say: If you passed DEV II, you should pass DEV I as well.
Although there are no certainties in live...Bohr-ing.0 -
