Writing Posting Routine

I have to write a posting routine.

What are the preliminary steps to be followed before writing a posting routine?

Do you need to post a document or also a new journal?

For a document you need

Codeunits:

Document-Post
Document-Post (Yes/No)
Document Post + Print

Report

Document Batch Post

Actually I am new to Navision, but I got this big work to finish it of.

What I usually do is copy those codeunits and tables to 50000 range and export them to text and change to variables to 50000 range, and 50 % of the work is done.

Yes you can do this, but there is also quite a handy renumber tool.
