Import on same layers issue

Hi everyone,

I have done some customizations on the DIS,DIP,VAR, VAP layer. Now i want to
add Indian Localization to my application which has also been developed on
DIS and DIP layer. The problem is whenever i add Indian Localization to my
customized application the customizations done by me are overrided and vice
versa.
As both the customizations are on the same layeri.e. DIS and DIP, so Axapta
only allows one customization(Indian Localization or my customizations) at a
time in one application.
Is there a way by which i can have both of them in the same application.

Hi,

Whenever you have a layer already customized and you need to import other customizations on that layer, the stronger solution I ever found is to do that by hand, using the "Compare" tool in the import ustility. This can be very time consuming if large amount of changes, but it is the only reliable method to not lose anything.

Hi Rashi,

The best way to keep the customization is that first you make an environment along with the indianization and than import your changes done on various layer into it. Keep it always in mind that you can copy the layer file of either indinization or your customized part another has to be imported.
