Client date format

Hi!

I'm using Navision3.7 on a Win2003 server stn. The server has been set with the dd/mm/yy format, but i noticed that most of my Winxp client are using the mm/dd/yy format in Navision.

There are some confusions when printing out report, PO and etc. What can i do to make sure that all my winxp clients are using the same format as the server? (I noticed that the win2000pro client is showing the same format as the server.)

Thks!

Make sure the clients are using the correct date format in the Regional Settings in the control panel.

    Hi!

We are in a win2000 domain environment. When i logon as an administrator on the individual Winxp client PC i can change the regional settings, but when the user logon as a normal user which is another profile they are not able to make any changes to the regional setting. That's the problem.

    Any other solutions? Thks!

give them permission to change the setting.

or change the server to match them not it.

Either way once everyone is on the same page the confusion will be over.

Hi! The Navision server has been set with dd/mm/yy format, just that the WinXp client are not following that. Is there any better way of solving this problem rather that doing this on individual PC one by one?

    Thks for the reply.

It should follow the regional setting of the client machine, or the user's setting in Citrix/TS. The server's regional settings should not have any effect on the way that dates are presented on the client machine.

Or you can modify your report and use format for formating the data fields into some predefined format...

Or you can use Domain Policy to set the date format on clients...
