Can anybody tells me why this error is comming.

The description for Event ID ( 109 ) in Source ( LOGIN2SHARE-CLASSIC ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The TCP/IP connection's 'host' is not answering (TCP/IP error ECONNREFUSED).

You can see how to make changes to your 'hosts' and 'services' files in the documentation for the network. Contact your system manager if you need assistance.

Thanx

The interresting line in the event viewer is:
'The TCP/IP connection's 'host' is not answering (TCP/IP error ECONNREFUSED).'

That says you are trying to to connect to the server with wrong/not supported protokoll. In version 4 the standard protokoll is TCPS
Check what clients and/or srver is using.
If you want say TCP you must specify it in either mmc or registry
If you call NAS by an commanline-syntax add nettype=TCP

1: Which Version of NAS :?:
2: Connect with native DB or SQL DB :?:
3: Have you installed the NAS per InstallationWizard or manuel per command line :?:
4: If per Wizard and NAV 4.00 -> This way is "buggy". Uninstall the Service per command line (go to the NAS install directory) (nas [or nassql] appservername=YOUR NAME, uninstallasservice). Install an new Service (nas [or nassql] appservername=YOUR SERVERNAME, servername= ....). For theinstallation take a look into the manuel on installation cd.
