Drop shipment does not work with service item

Hi
I was testing the autocreation of Service Item in Navision by invoicing certain items that are linked to a service group. These items automatically create service items except when I try a drop shipment. This clearly does not make sense. Just because I get the supplier to ship something to the customer does not meant that I do not want to support the customer with a warranty.
My question: Is this a feature or a bug?
