Version 4.0 SP1 database conversion

lloydlloyd Member Posts: 12
I am upgrading from Version 4.0 to SP1. When I open the database I am asked if I would like to convert the database. I say OK but I get the message 'The combination of user ID and password entered is invalid. Try Again.'.

I have tried using both Windows and Database Server Authentication and the user IDs are db_owners of the database.

Has anybody seen this and have a solution?

Thanks...

Is this a SQL, if yes, you need to update xp_ndo.dll file for navision on sql. you need to load it into the binn directory, and restart SQL

    Thanks heaps, I'll try that.

What if I am also running a Version 4.0 database on the same SQL server? Will this be affected?

Take a look into the forum. They i've sayed, that when you updateing from 4.00 to 4.01, u need to update the xp_ndo.dll.

For this, stop the SQL Server service, import the new dll to the bin directory, open the enterprise manager (or an other programm to control the sql server) an be sure that the new dll has the correct rights.

But, ... the error message will not become when conneting with database connection. Only with windows login.

    Regards.

sorry for my englishm, i've drunken 2 bottles germand red wine and some german beer
