Hi all!

What happen if i forgot to rename my new licence ( i.e CAxxxx.flf) as fin.flf and I just import that file on the server. I then stop and start the service again.

Thanks

You cannot import a file to the server.

    Only in a client.

So the correct answer is :Nothing.

sorry! I should say , if i didi that on the client.

    What's happen? is it bad?

Well you would only ask this question if you actually did this. So check to see if the new license is loaded when you start a new client. If all is well then all is well. Otherwise just rename the license to fin.flf and redo, that should fix it.

Importing license has nothing to do with Navision server... the license will be imported into local client, not to the server. If you need to change license on Navision server, you need to do that manually - it means rename this file to fin.flf and save it into folder from where the server is running (where the server.exe is).

Another case is uploading license file under MS SQL Server option. This Upload button will transfer the license to the server and save it there...

Thanks guys! In fact, I did not use the right one so I changed the license name.
