MPS/MRP - multiple locations with single plannning logic

Actually I just want to differentiate the place of my Item Stock, the places are still in one factory, so.... should I use Location or BIN or S
KU or what in Navision ?
But :
1. I dont want to use intransit between 2 places, because its only a nearby places
2. Although my Item Stock resides in multiple locations, but in term of planning run, I would like the system to look at the demand/requirement ( Sales Order etc ) without considering the places ( location, bin or whatever)

eg: lets say : Im using 2 places (can be loc, bin or whatever, A and B ), I have Item Stock 30 pcs in place A, and 20 pcs in place B, I have a sales older with quantity of 50 pcs which the place is A, So.....
With Navision, system will suggests 20 pcs Planned Order / Purchase Order in place A without considering the stock of another 20 pcs in place B

Is it possible to set in Navision not to suggest 20 pcs Planned Order / Purchase Order anymore, because we still have 20 pcs in place B?
The reason is : since the place (loc, bin or whatever ) in Sales Order is only a default location

    Hi

The only way to do this as standard is to use SKU's and have the replenishment method of one location to transfer, the MRP run will then suggest a transfer order rather than a purchase order. As locations are fundamental in Navision in this perspective you would need to break all the replenishment code to do what you suggest. Is there a reason your multiple locations that are actually not locations could not have been bins and you just have one location - it would solve all your planning issues!
    I do not know why, it's just how I have always done it . . . .

Set up dimensions for your inventory locations bin, or what ever, then the planning won't care about how you identify, so you can have all item in one location but different dimensions, your planing will take into account all the items

For example we have a warehouse location code of "04" and then a dimension called "RACK" with spaces on the rack as dimension values,

so for example we can have a transmission in location code 04 rack - A1 and another one in location code 04 rack - A2, as far as planning is concerned we have two transmissions in location 04
