Problem with license.

Hello all,

When I received my client's license I saw such think:

Custom Area Objects.
Purchased Tables...........: 21
Purchased Forms............: 102
Purchased Reports..........: 100
Purchased Dataports........: 100
Purchased Codeunits........: 2
Purchased XMLPorts.........: 0
Assigned Tables............: 1
Assigned Forms.............: 2
Assigned Reports...........: 0
Assigned Dataports.........: 0
Assigned Codeunits.........: 1
Assigned XMLPorts..........: 0
Table Data
52,063-52,063 RIMDX

Form
52,070-52,071 RIMDX

Codeunit
52,001-52,001 RIMDX

Now I want to know in what range I should create new objects, that we purchased, but wasn't assigned? I need to make customization, but I don't know the range of numbers in which I can create new objects.

I hope someone had this problem before, and can help me with it.

Best regards

Based on the information you provided, your ranges should be as follows:

    Tables - 50,000 - 50,019 and 52,063
    Forms - 50,000 - 50,099 and 52,070 - 52,071
    Reports - 50,000 - 50,099
    Dataports - 50,000 - 50,099
    Codeunits - 52,001

It looks like one purchased codeunit was not assigned a number, you will need to contact MBS to get this regenerated. Unless specified, objects always start with 50,000 and increment from there.

    52,063-52,063 RIMDX

    Form
    52,070-52,071 RIMDX

    Codeunit
    52,001-52,001 RIMDX

I would give a more general explanation:

Your license has some assigned objects, so you better use them.
    Table : 52,063
    Form : 52,070 and 52,071
    Codeunit : 52,001

    You still have:
    20 tables
    100 forms
    100 reports
    100 dataports
    1 codeunit

You can assign them where you want in the range 50000 to 99999 (or almost).
But it is advisable to start with 50000 and up.

There was a time you had to pay something like 10 euro for every gap in your license. This is not anymore I think.

Something is strange, because I created new report with 50010 number, and I don't have permission to this object on the client's license.

Is it matter of license or my knowledge? Probably both :D

You have to assign the objects to the license.

This has to be done by an NSC.

You have purchased 100 reports but you are free to choose the number.

Report the number to your NSC and they will assign it to your license.

The number can be between 50000 and 99999.

You should reserve 50000..50099 for when you purchase report designer, because you will get these nummbers for free if you do so.

    Good luck!

Check your order for license. You must assign the number for all purchased objects. In your question we read "Purchased Tables - 21" and "Assigned Tables -1". Probably in order you fixed only one Table with Table No = 52063.
