Nav 4.0 and 3.70

hi,

can i have nav 4.0 and 3.70 with SQL DB's, in the same machine?

    The version is per database... you can have DB's with different versions on same MS SQL server...

    You can also add normal sql databases to the server for other purposes.

    Having more than one version of the client however will cause issues if you use the external components like office integration, mail handling, stuff like that.

    What I do is have the latest version actually installed, and copies of the client folder of previous versions on my hard drive. You can just run the executable from there without having to install it. This will not cause a problem as long as you use Navision only.

    I am doing exactly the same thing on my harddrive with all Cronuses (W1 and IT) on SQL + some customers who use SQL. And Navision-DB's with DB-server for customers who use Navision-DB.
    And all works just fine.
