Hello All

I am having a strange problem.(All problems are strange :-\) I am trying to use the CFront OCX Control. No matter what I do with it (except calling the about box) I get an error stating that the "Navision DBMS can not be found"

I have tried using the control from Navision, Excel and Delphi. I get the same error everywhere. When I run the sample Excel sheet I get the same error when I try and open the database.

Does anyone have an answer? Please let me know.

Regards

Craig Needham

As far as I can remember you need to copy a few files
to your CFRONT directory (check the read me file)

For this particular problem you need to copy the DBMS.DLL
file which is in the NF client directory to your CFRONT directory.

The dbms.dll doesn't need to be copied to the CFRONT directory. If you follow the installation instructions then everything should work. The CFRONT directory should be placed in your Navision Financials directory.

Problems may result of multiple installations, e.g. one folder with NF 2.01 and one folder with NF 2.50. In this case you should use the SetNavisionPath method.

Also be sure to use the correct version of c/front. The German copies of NF 2.01A came with an outdated c/front version.

I had the same problem and found out that Navision shipped the wrong CFRONT.OCX file with 2.01A.
They fixed this with release 2.01B

Thank you all for the prompt response, I am currently using Nav 201a, I will try and get the 201b OCX.

    Thanks for the help.
