I think you always need a SQL-database when using Navision's webshop. The syncronization is done using Microsoft Message Queue. A 'message dispatcher' (= Navision client that continously reads the message queue) gets the info in and out the SQL database.

I agree that you need an sql database to power your e-shop, but the navision database you are using for internal use, should thatone be also navision on sql or can that be an normal navision database.

Remember that the beta was shown long before the SQL Server Option was avaliable even as beta.
