Does anybody know what could be the problem?

Did you install all components during the install process?

I installed Navision without MSDE and MDAC, cause on the system is an SQL-Server 2000 with the latesed servicepack installed and this includes the newest MDAC.

May be that the component is renamed, because the Navision Attain is old and obsolote name... try to look for another name... Microsoft Navision ... or something like that...

I have 4.0 SP1 installed, and it's called "Navision Attain ApplicationHandler" on my machine.

And you have installed it on clean PC? Or it is some rest from previous versions? (I want to exclude the possibility, that the SP1 does not include this library)

You know you're right, I upgraded from 4.0, so it is possible that it is left over.

The problem is, that the installation prozess of the Version 4.0 SP1 forgot to register the nsapphandler.dll.

I installed the old Version 4.0 --> all ok
I installed the Version 4.0 SP1 --> Navision Attain Application Handler is missing

    Solution:
I registerd the dll manual with:
    regsvr32 nsapphandler.dll

Application Handler is in the Automation Server List

So I think it must be an Bug in the Installation-Script of the Version 4.0 SP1, maybe only in the german version.

I've also encountered this problem by upgrading a database from 4.00 to 4.00 SP1. So it's not only with the German versions...!;-)

    Greets.
