Hi! I'm trying to import Fix Asset data into the system and there's one colunn called line no. What should i insert there, should i just put any number there? is it ok to have duplicate number for that column? What is that line no. for?

by imporint fix asset data you mean, the fix asset info (fixed asset table), or the fixed asset journal (e.g. Acquisition Cost)? The reason I'm asking this is because in fixed asset table, there is no Line no., unless you've modified the table.

Hi! The line No. in FA Journal Line. What should be inserted into the line No. in the FA Journal line table? Can i be any numeric number? must it be a unique number for every row? Thks!

You can put in any number you like, as long as it is unique

Actually, technically, the combination of Journal Template Name, Journal Batch Name and Line No. must be unique. Since you're likely to be creating lines into one Template/Batch combination, you will need to use a different number for each line.

Just a suggestion:
The system follows a convention of using line No. as 10000 upwards.
So try using that only as u will be able to insert more records in between if rquired.
Otherwise u can put any no.( No decimal)
