Learning how to create navision reports

I've got a little coding background, so i can work through that, but i'm interested in finding out how everything works. The global C/AL symbols and such is confusing me a little bit because i'm not sure how this all works together. I've built some code into my C/AL Code, but how does the C/AL symbols work? Is this where global methods, etc are defined? Is there somewhere on the web to learn about how navision development and these kinds of things work?

The Application Designer's Guide (w1w1adg.pdf) from Navision CD is a good source to start. Another good material is the Navision Programming I Training material.

I can't find any books on Navision programming.

There are no books on Navision development. The training material and the ADG are the place to start.
