Hi,

Could someone help me here.

- I would like to know if it possible to upgrade Navision WebShop to a newer version? Currently, we are runing Navision WebShop with Navision 2.60E and we are planning to upgrade to Navision 3.70. I have very little experience on WebShop so I am not sure if possible to do the upgrade.

- Is Navision WebShop compatible with Navision 3.70 or it must be upgraded if I want to run Navision 3.70?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,

IMHO it is not possible to upgrade WebShop to Commerce Portal directly/automatically.

    Why?

1.) Site Server vs. Commerce Server
    2.) Message Dispatcher vs. NAS
    3.) Different table structure

    So you can not:
    - Upgrade only technically, because in 3.70 you will have NAS and no Message Dispatcher
    - Automatically upgrade Site Server to Commerce Server, because a lot of stuff is changed there (Pipelines, Objects)
    - Upgrade Application, because there are also a lot of changes

You can try to do it manually, but you have to take care on:
    - CP logic in Navision
    - NAS
    - Shop/Portal

    Thank you for your help.

Do you, approximately, how much time is needed if we want to upgrade our WebShop to Commerce Portal. Are the Commerce Portal and NAS needs a lot of time to setup?
