Upgrading to 4.0

Hi

I have some problems with upgrading. This is the first time i'm doing a upgrade

Right now i'm upgrading a Fin 2.0 to Mbs 4.0. But I get a lot of errors when I'm using the standard upgrading toolkit.

1. there are blanket order lines with negative Outstanding Qty.
2. some used currencies are dropped.
3. I get some division by 0 errors converting the Item Application Entries
4. Some contacts are related to dropped companies.
5. Some dimensions are used on both sales and purchases which result in errors.

and a lot more. Is this common?

Furthermore I have two more upgrades in the nearest future. This time it is from 3.56 DOS-based version to 4.0.

I can't find any convertion tool for this. Where do I find them?

for upgrading from 3.56-DOS to 4.00 is better to upgrade from 3.56 to 2.60 or something, where the upgrade toolkit exists and after that from the 2.60 to 4.00. There is no simple upgrade toolkit from 3.56 directly to 4.00...

This mostly happens when the data isn't clean. Extra programs that don't follow the rules. Persons (programmers, analysts, users) that change data directly in the tables they shouldn't touch. So I am afraid that for each problem, you have to see where and what in the upgrade-toolkit it goes wrong and then decide how to resolve it and then change the upgrade-toolkit to do it.
