Hi Everyone,
I got 2 split files of .fbk and when i am trying to restore the first file it just stops after that and when i try to restore the second file it says it is not the first file. I am new to navision so dont understand whats going on .
Can anyone tell me how to split the database while taking backups and whats the way of restoring the database if somebody give u in multiple files .

I think what you should do is put both files in the same folder, and restore from file #1. If all goes well navision should automatically use both files, without any prompts.0

The Navision backup program limits each backup file (*.fbk) to 2 GB. When backing up a large database, name your fbk file ending in a number. Navision backup will increment this for each additional 2GB fbk file it needs to create.
EXAMPLE:
Name first file: MyBackup1.fbk
Navision call second file: MyBackup2.fbk
Navision call third file: MyBackup3.fbk
and so on.....
When restoring, you select MyBackup1.fbk in the restore window. Navison will look for MyBackup2.fbk when done with the first file.
To restore your existing backup, rename the *.FBK files using a naming sequence like above. There are no bugs - only undocumented features.0 -
You shouldn't have to rename anything. When you create the backup with Navision, it takes care of that automatically. Of course when you restore the ackup into another database, you have to make all files available for the restore process. I've had good luck by just putting the files in one folder.0
