For a specific item I've setted up a stockeeping Unit with the following
planning parameters :
- Reordering Policy = Maximum Qty.
- reorder Point = 100
- Lead Time Calculation = 3S
- Security Stock = 10
- Manufacturing Policy = Make to Stock
- Maximum Inventory = 300
Quantity on hand is 90.
Now, Planning --> Req. Worksheet --> Function --> Calculate Plan
I get a requisition line for 210 pieces , according to lead time calculation
, to be delivered 3 weeks later.
First of all this behavior is different from what is said in
"Tecnical White Paper - Planning Functionality 01/09/04", where
they get 290 pieces.
I moved "Planning Flexibility" to "None" in my Purchase Order
of 210 Pieces.
Now , my expected behavior is that , if a gross requirement (sales order for istance) of 20 units to be delivered in the next 3 weeks arise,
Navision will not suggest any other purchase.
This is not what I get ; Navision suggests me another purchase order
for 230 units , even if I have on hand another one of 210 units.
This should happen , in my opinion , only if I go below the safety stock.
Does someone else get the same strange (wrong) results ?
Is this a Known bug, someone has a solution for this ?
Thanks in advance.

It seems that they did not corrected in 4.0 either. The requisition worksheet is having a wrong calculation of NeededQty, and you have to correct this directly in the code. It took me 3 weeks to trace this stupid error. It is not coming from setup, it is coming from codeunit 99000854.
