<img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/smiles/icon_confused.gif" /> I want to install the navision server on a Citrix Xpa Server (W2K). When I start the service I get the error: the service on local System could not start. Error 1 (auf Deutsch: Der Dienst auf "Lokaler Computer" konnte nicht gestartet werden. Fehler 1: Unzulässige Funktion)

I install the serivce with the command:
server servername=navi265, nettype=tcp, cache=999999, commitcache=Yes, database=e:\Navision\database.fdb, installasservice

Have anybody a solution ?

Try using schemaxt.exe which is located in the server-directoy on the product CD. It is described in the readme.txt file, in the same directory.

    Hi Luc,
    thanks for your reply.
I don't have an active directory. The server is only member of a NT-Domain.

    Any other ideas ? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/smiles/icon_confused.gif" />

Instead of installing the server as a service, try running it in a DOS-box (just remove the ,installasservice parameter). Maybe you see a more descriptive errormessage now.

    I found the problem: <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif" />

the value of the cache was to high. I have try 500000 and everything works fine.
In the documentation is writen that the value of the cache must be less then 1 GB so I thought 999999 is less !?
The server have 4 GB RAM but the citrix could minimize it ?
