Peculiar problem..

we experience a peculiar problem at the time of making payments (When using Payment Journal). When we select the 'applies-to-ID' at the time of making payment, Applied ID codes disappear after a screen 'Shake'. It doesnot happen always. why does it happen?
Has anybody encountered this problem before?
