Link Business card reader to Navision

Anyone did this, linking a business card reader (like the one from IRIS) so that the scanning gets directly in pe. a contact of navision?

Because it seems, that nobody have the reader, can you post more about the reader? Which interface is there for connecting the reader to apps etc... may be that we can guide you how you can do it...

It doesn't matter what cardreader is being used. there are probably several on the market. The only thing we seek is a card reader where you put in a business card, and after that the data should come automaticly in navision (via ocx or automation..).

There are card readers with links to Outlook, act etc.... just wondering if there where cardreaders with open software so you could use it to connect to another software...

Ok, I assumed that you have some more info. In this case, I have nothing to add. I never used such a device.

Nothing standard for that purpose I think, but if you can make it link into Outlook then you could use the Navision Outlook integration. If you want to develop something like that, you would probably have to build something that sends the information from the cardreader as an XML document into a message queue and have Navision Application Server pick it up from there.
