We just have made an upgrade from 2.60 to 4.0.
Now some performance problems appear. Most problems were solved by changing keys and filters.
Now I´ve tried to start the server service on a 2003Server with a higher DBMS Cache. The starting like the 2.60 service with cache=xxx in the service start-window wont work.
How can a start the service eith a bigger cache?
Do I have to change the priority of the service too?
What cache settings are useful for the clients?
Any other settings to increase performance?

2) if it is Dual Xeon does not matter, because Native DB is able to use only one CPU... (you can say of caurse in this case that the second CPU is for OS)
3) critical point of performance are HDDs. You said nothing about this...

There is a file called "w1w1ism.pdf" in the doc folder of your product cd. This document has all the parameters that you can use to start up or to reconfigure the database server.
