filter length in ATTAIN

:? Hello ,
We has done technical upgrade from FINANCIALS 2.6 to ATTAIN 3.7 version , and right now I recognize that ATTAIN in reports ( code field ) show error ( too long filter) , if I put there more then 243 symbols. The field is No. from Item table and filter I put in requst field.
The same filter was working ( lenght 281) in FINANCIALS without problem.
May be someone know, why it happen , and what I can do to improve the situation?
( Actually I know, that write too long filter isn't a good style, but some users are used to do it in some reports)
