Installing MBS Navision 3.7 on a windows 2003 terminalserver

willywilly Member Posts: 67
Hi!

We have a problem trying to install the client on a win 2003 terminal server machine.
The problem occures when we try to connect to the server (connect to a local db works fine).
When trying to connect, the installation program starts and it will never end. At the same time CompNotes.exe starts and won't stop ever.

Does anyont know how to solve this??

Best regards
Willy

try to create a shortcut yourself or run the exe file directinly from where it is installed.

We have tried to make a new shortcut to fin.exe and also tried to run the fin.exe from the folder where we installed the program, but the same error occures.

A dirty trick that might help if nothing else helps:
Install the client on another computer and copy the client subdirectory on your terminal server. I use this to keep all Navision-versions on my portable and I never get the message for installing something when working with Navision. And I connect to DB's directly, to DB's with a Navision-server on my portable or external and also to Navision-SQL-DB's on my portable.
