Production: linking components with output

Hi,

I have a production order that outputs 10 of item A. Item A's BOM is one item B and one item C, so I'd need 10 Bs and Cs to produce 10 As.

All of them (components and output) require serial nos. Now, is there a way to know, which components (serial nos.) is a certain item A made of?

Basically I need something to link consumption and output. Which components were consumed in order to produce a certain one item.

Any advice apreciated,

I think you are looking for reservations, but how that works in manufacturing I don't know exactly. I always try to stay away from reservations
