Changing Tender Type in LS REtail

Hi,

My client has the following requirement:

A customer does a transacion. While doing the transaction, he says that he'll pay in cash.Therefore, the staff chooses the tender type cash, completes the transaction and starts to process the transaction of the next customer. The previous customer hasnt made the payment yet. Now he says that he'll pay half the amount through credit card and half through cash.
Now under such a scenario, how will the cashier at the POS terminal change the tender type of the transaction that has already been done.

Can anybody help????

Hi ...

There is no process with in the system to handle this. You would have to void the original transaction and then redo it. This could perhaps be handled by some tender operations.

I would think the problem lies with the staff that finalizes the sale without having received payment.

The problem is that the sales transaction has been finalized against cash.

In this situation would you not choose to use the Suspend/Resume POS Function? This will allows you to temporary store away the old transactions to allow the cashier to continue then you can resume this transaction to finalize it later.
