Skiping first line in dataport

Hi Gurus,

When importing records from CSV file I need to skip first row (Collumn names).

So I tried to place CurrFile.Read(Variable) OnPreDataItem,

but the text lenght is more than 1024

Add a dataitem of type integer to your dataport, as the first dataitem, and set the filter on number=1

I have tried with integer, but it didnt work.


So i tried:

OnPreDataItem

CurrFile.SEEK(1395)



and it pointed to next line.

For the integer option you need to change the recordseparator.

right, forgot to mention that one thanks Mark. Not the record separator, but the dataitem separator. By default the record separator is one <new line>, and the dataitem separator is two new lines. You need to change the dataitem separator to one new line, so it jumps to the next dataitem in the dataport.

Hmm ... tested ... doesn`t work integer option.

Have you tested on ver 4.00.
