So here is the problem I'm having (BC cloud, version 27.3):

I have a project planning line with a single resource on it, and that resource is only available for 40 hours a week.

If I enter a task that requires 160+ hours, the system doesn't seem smart enough to change the dates accordingly.

This is confusing to me for several reasons:

1. What is the point of having resource availability in the system if they can just be overloaded without so much as a warning message?

2. The only way I can think to get around this is to enter a single line for each week, or god forbid, day. There doesn't appear to be a function to even assist with this.

I feel like I'm missing something critical here, because this type of functionality seems really, really basic for any kind of project management tool, so I'm very much hoping that it exists and I just haven't figured it out yet.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
