Import C-side DB in SQL-Server

I want to build a new database for OLAP with SQL-Server 2000. What is the final way to import and replicate the database. I need only some tables.
Is the C/ODBC-driver fast enough? (One table counts 3 Mio. lines).
What are the alternatives? (OLE DB?)
