In recent months, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate IoT devices into our Dynamics 365 Field Service environment to improve our predictive maintenance processes. Specifically, we want to leverage the real-time data from IoT-enabled equipment to automatically trigger preventive maintenance tasks before equipment failure occurs, thereby reducing unplanned downtime and improving service efficiency. However, I’ve encountered a few challenges in setting up and optimizing this integration.
IoT Data Integration:
We are currently using Azure IoT Hub to monitor sensor data from various equipment. However, we’re unsure about the best way to ingest this data into Dynamics 365 Field Service in a way that triggers relevant work orders and schedules service appointments efficiently. What’s the most effective method to integrate IoT Hub with Dynamics 365 Field Service to ensure that real-time data from IoT sensors is consistently being monitored and acted upon within the Field Service module?
