How to handle VAT for free of cost sales invoices- NAV 2017
The products are given free of cost to the customer, but we have to calculate and account for the VAT amount

Applying discount won't work. If you apply 100% discount then VAT is not calculated.

That's correct, unfortunately I don't have an answer to this one. Any consultant or finance expert in BC / NAV will be able to answer.

In depends to of your country TAX laws, but these ones gives you and idea which VAT types do you have
