When in send a BLOB through an InStream

that contains a special character ( german umlauts Ä/Ö/Ü ) i get a "400" response because the character doesn't get converted correctly.
According to the ms docs you can add a second parameter to the function for enconding but it doesn't work with navision 2009sp1 does it?

I'm getting the following Error, (which states that the function only takes one parameter) if i try to add a 2nd one.

Does anybody have a solution for that without removing the umlauts?
