Hi,
Im a new user of Navision Attain 3.60
Im trying to restore a backup of my database which is 7 gigabytes in size. I have 14 gigabytes available on my server's hard disk.
My problem is when I try to expand a "new" database to 7 gigabytes, it says "Your server returned the following message - not enough disk space".
How can this be? Ive managed to expand the database to 4 gigabytes and it reckons I have no more space left even though I have 10 gigabytes space left on the server.
Is this a known bug? Can someone please help? Im running Navision server on a Win2K machine, running clients on XP machines.
Thanks very much!

Do you have the necessary permissions on the server machine? For instance, I have my own little piece of the network, with a maximum of 2GB of storage, even though there are hundreds of GB actually available there. Because of the restrictions in my user profile on that part of the netork, I will get the message 'disk is full' when I try to upload more than my allowed 2GB, even though there is enough space there.0

Well im only doing this as a small test setup between 2 old computers. Is it within the Navision software where you can specify how much space you are allowed?
Or are you referring to the Server OS setup?
Thanks for your fast reply0 -
It seems, that you are using FAT32 File system, and this is why you are not able to create file bigger than 4GB. You need to create new file... see limitations for the file systems on MS site...0
