Use of Bar Codes in Business Central

I will kindly want to know if bar code can be assigned to items in Business Central without any form of customisations ?

    The short answer is yes. Thru the use of item references (cross-references in earlier versions). But the details may depend on what you expect to do.
    There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
