Txt2AL Conversion Tool

Hey y'all,

I must be mind blown, but just a quick one to be completely sure: Is Txt2AL Conversion Tool so sofisticated to automatically create Extension objects (TableExtension, PageExtension...) of customized standard objects on it`s own (and NOT working with delta files) or is it purely converting txt -> al and all the rest (custom changes to standard objects) should be manually figured out?

I would say you have to manually do the extension (rename the top to extend the table), so it purely converts to AL.

I just tested with T18 and as expected it didnt create any sort of extension.

Txt@AL tool will create a *.AL file only, but you have still have to manually check for any errors as file is loaded into the VSC project. I must say that it does save some time as file structure is already created with txt2al, but there is some time required to correct any errors.

command --type defines what is the object type that is going to be created as AL file
--type-table => creates table extension file
--type-page => creates page extension file

Does anyone have an idea if there is a difference within the txt2AL tool across different cumulative updates? More precisely BC14 CU1 and BC14 CU32, for example, is the conversion tool (txt2al) also updated meanwhile?
