Sort order in drop down list

Hi experts,

When entering a line in the sales order page, there is a drop down button on the number field (where we put the item number).

In my case there is a lot of items that have almost the same item number and almost the same description.

So I have added the flow field "Inventory" from the Item table to the drop down list.

That works fine.

Now I would like to change the sort order of the drop down list, so that all the items are sorted according to the "Inventory" field.

The result would be that the user can enter some text and then the drop down list will show 10-20 items with that text and they are sorted so that the item with the highest number in "Inventory" is at the top of the list.

How can I do that?
