Database Key Groups (Item Tracking)

In NAV, there was a feature known as "Database Key Groups". This was used to group keys across multiple tables, allowing them to be enabled\disabled together.
An example if a customer using Item Tracking. The keys to support item tracking and not enabled in the base product. The appropriate key group would be enabled if needed.
My question is how is this handled in Business Central? Are we left to enable the needed keys with our own extension?

There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
