How to use Data Exchange Definition for Generic Import?

Hi,
I have created a Data Exchange Definition (DED) for importing a file into a General Journal. The DED is of type "Generic Import".
How do I use my definition for importing my file?




See image above: In the General Journal there is an action "Import Payroll File" which imports a file using the DED defined in "Payroll Trans. Import Format" in the General Ledger Setup (the DED must be of type "Payroll Import").
But how do I import using DED of type "Generic Import"?

You have to define your own DED and define the columns that you want to import. You might need to add custom button same as payroll import for generic import.
