Missing COGS account message

Hi



We are on Dynamics 365 US version, 14.6 ON PREM.

We enter a resource on a sales line and get a warning saying that COGS is missing from General Posting Setup. We could easily set an account there, but our client does not want to if it's not necessary.

The issue is some of the users do NOT get that message when entering a resource on a sales line, but others do. Does anyone know if there is a setup or security that would cause some users to get the warning, and some users not to?
