Making changes to a table that is included in SQL Replication

afarrafarr Member Posts: 287
We have a NAV 2016 database, on SQL 2016 Enterprise, and we may be adding a (normal) field to a table.
The table is included in (transactional) SQL Replication.
We know that there are SQL commands to make changes to replicated tables, but can these be used with Dynamics NAV?

Or do we need to remove the table from SQL Replication, make our changes in Nav, and then add the table to SQL Replication?
I found several posts from 2005 – 2011 saying that that is the only way to proceed. I just want to check if that is still correct for Nav 2016 and SQL 2016.

And has the situation changed in later versions of Nav or Business Central?
