Item Code Length change in Business Central

in NAV Three Tier
Hi,

Customer is using Nav 2009 and their Item Number length is customized to 25 characters.
Now they are upgrading to Business Central Online (Not On-Premise).
Is there any way to increase the Item Number length in Business Central.
Kindly advise.

    Actual there is, but it is not recommended.
    You could customize the base app, but I would not do so.
    But just for the discussion, yes it is possible.
    For help, do not use PM, use forum instead, perhaps other people have the same question, or better answers.

    @SanderDk In case if it is possible, can you advise steps or procedure. we are facing difficulty in convincing customer to revise their item length.

    For on premises it is possible. For SaaS it is not possible because you can't modify the base app there
