SQL Error when copying a company - Execution Timeout Expired

Hi, Everyone.
I would like to seek help on the issue I'm experiencing when trying to make a copy of our Live company. I keep on getting the error below.
The following SQL error was unexpected:
Execution Timout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
I've updated the SQL Command timeout from 30 mins(default) to 3 hrs and before making a copy, I stopped all the job queues that may possibly run during the process. Our current database size is only 53 GB so I think it's not that big.
I tried to make a copy of the company using powershell script and it got completed after 6.5 hrs which I think it's too long. We would like to be able to make a copy of our company via RTC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
