Timezone of Service User

Hi guys,

quick question, does anybody know where the NST User gets its timezone from? It's obviously not the same that is set in the NST config. It's also not changed if you enter it in the User Personalization of the Service User.

And maybe another question that someone can confirm. Are the timezone settings only applied to Date and Datetime fields, and not to Time fields?

We talk about NAV 2018 CU14.

The NST User would be the service account. You may be able to define a time zone for an active directory user, but usually you just get the timezone specified on the NST server itself.

If you always want the two to agree, go into the admin tool and set the time zone to be Server Time Zone.

Well, that's actually part of the problem. The NST config is set to Server Time Zone, but the Service Account is set to a different time zone. And whatever you set in the User Personalization for the Service Account, also does not affect its time zone.

So go the other direction - hard-code the timezone in the NST settings to be what you want it to be, and that gets the service account and whatever Active Directory time zone setting out of the picture.

Thanks for your suggestion, but actually that's not the question. I want to know where this comes from, and not what are the ways to cheat.
